Greetings. We've had a bunch of events over the lifespan of the clan so far, almost all of them are focused on a casual game, allowing anyone to participate, even non-members. Now that the clan has grown and we have more members, this allows us to do more intra-clan events, competing only against other members. Introducing the Shadow Cup The Shadow Cup is a 1v1 duel tournament available only to members of Shadow Order. Members sign up for this event ahead of time, and all participants are shuffled into a randomized bracket. Only one duel happens at a time, unless there are a great number of participants, then there may be multiple at once. First player to reach 2 victories moves on in the bracket. The winner of the Shadow Cup will be granted a trophy on their member page, under the Accolades section, with the date of the event. So a few rules: Only the duelists join the game, everyone else spectates. No chat while there is a duel, except the host, if necessary. The players dueling must enter a private duel via the K key. The duel starts when the organizers say "Round (number)" and "Fight". No unsporty behavior. (insults, being a bad loser, etc.) First player to win two duels moves on. If you lose, you're out of the tournament and you will respectively spectate or choose to leave the server, but have good sportsmanship. Only clan members allowed You will sign up by voting in the poll above. If you don't sign up, and still show up to the event, I can't promise you'll be able to participate, especially if it screws up the bracket. The first Shadow Cup of the century will be held on the 26th of November, 2016 at 3:00 PM EST. Remember, only clan members allowed in this event. Non-members may be allowed to spectate, if given permission.
Oh man it's going to completely kill me not being able to join this one. The lady at Asus still hasn't sent me the RMA info for the monitor and once she does it'll be another ~11 days until it's returned, according to her timescale. Brother and I are supposed to finish putting up the privacy fence this weekend as well so I don't think I'll be able to come. Though if I can I'll just spectate since the input lag on this TV is way too huge to actually play anything.
No worries man. We will have a Shadow Cup every month, if possible. So hopefully you can join the next one!
As much as I want to participate in the Shadow Cup, I'm busy today, so I think i'm just gonna watch for a bit.
