Double Elimination Rules: - It will be Double Elimination which means a team must lose two matches in order to be knocked out of the tournament. - After the first loss teams are knocked into the "loser's bracket" where all teams that have lost fight against each other until one team is left in winner's bracket and one in the loser's bracket. - The winners of both these brackets then go on to fight each other in the grand finals. The winner's bracket team must be beaten twice in order for the loser's bracket team to win, while the loser's bracket team only needs to lose one match since they lost earlier on. Prizes: If we get at least 10 signups (20 participants total) then I'll be putting some game keys from my inventory that can be activated on steam and added to your library into a prize pool. The two winners of the tournament can pick one game each, whichever they like from the list, and it will be given to them as their prize. They will also be posted as the winners on any threads that are made to do with the tournament. Additional Prizes: If you'd like to add a prize to the pool to be chosen from (look I know my own offerings aren't so great but it's all I've got) then feel free to contact me on steam, discord or whatever to have it added to the pool, it would be greatly appreciated. Well sorry I didn't know, I'm just trying to host an event I thought players would enjoy and everyone I asked said that was a good day for them.
Its fine, I'm just giving you a hard time. A friend wanted to organize a roleplay event on the 16th too. It's like... I would but Rogue One.
We would love to have you guys if you can fit it in somehow... sorry about the scheduling thing I didn't realize the movie premiered that night and everyone I asked about date and time said that friday would be great.
I'll probably see the midnight premiere too, not sure. Depends if my girlfriend gets the day off or not. What's the latest a team can sign up for it?
It would be best to register on the site and post in the thread as soon as you can, if you signed up in the thread just before the tournament started it would also probably be fine, it might be an issue if there's no post in the signup thread at all before it starts though.
If you're having trouble finding a partner you can try adding your name to the thread I made for that. http://azumazaibatsu.gq/forum/viewtopic.php?tID=47 It's also fine to wait and see who can pair up within Shadow Order, it would be great to have as many of you guys competing as possible. There will also be prizes if we get enough signups.
It turns out Rogue One starts at my local theater on the 16th, so depending on the hour it starts and when I can get over there I might not be able to attend. I'll have to contact them to see when exactly it starts. If it's a midnight opening, I should be able to see it then and I can go to the tourney, if it's not, then I still would want to see it as soon as possible which would mean skipping out on the tourney. Sorry guys. I'll let you know if/when there's an update on the situation.
UPDATE: I'll be seeing it Thursday, so I'll be coming. I'll need confirmation from him, but I think I'll be teaming up with "Snarf".
